Leave woes

Let me summarize different ways of taking a leave from office:
Unplanned leave: With no prior intimation, you call up your manager on the day of office & say you aren’t feeling well, say sorry, cough a bit & hang up the call. Switching off your cell phone on a day like this is the best holiday anywhere in the world.
Forced leave: you call up your manager 2 weeks before hand, inform him about your leave, and drop him a mail informing him the same and apply leave in the system & taking a leave no matter what is decided by manager. You don’t care even if its approved or rejected.
Diminished leave: You call up your manager & ask for 4 days leave. Because of various factors, you will be content with 2 leaves. The thing is.. you get only half of the leave which you have requested for.
No leave:
This would be the kind of conversation:
Resource (R): Hi..!
Manager (M): hi.. whats up??
R: I need an off for a day..
M: why??? Whats the reason?
R: blah blah blah blah
M: I cant give you any leaves right now.
R: But I did not take any leave since 6 months.. I have been working continuously. I need a break seriously
M: the work is going on at brisk pace. We have deadlines & several deliverables coming up. We are at a critical situation
R: (wtf??!!! Its like this from day one of the project). Okk.. I can compensate my leave by working on any week end or stretch my working hours
M: No.. I cant approve it. Can you postpone your leave to next month? I cant approve your leave for this month.
R: I need a break. I cant work like this
M: no more discussions on this.. I have another call coming up.. speak with you later.. (hangs up)
The poor guy grunts & gets angry with himself for being in this position.. Leaves the cubicle.. goes to rest room.. washes his face.. have a glass of water.. returns to his work calmly with headphones on.. consoling himself saying ‘This is my life’
“Give me some sunshine.. Give me some rain.. Give me another chance.. I wanna grow up once again..”
The restroom
Watch the pic on the left carefully.. This is the gents restroom at Rajdhani Deluxe theatre, Dilsukhnagar…!!
Couple of days back I watched Arakshan movie at Rajdhani Deluxe in Dilsukhnagar. I had to use the loo to relieve myself and stepped into the rest room to be surprised at this scene. Management has installed disco lights in the rest room and an aquarium kind of thing with no water and no fishes. The lights were revolving and changing colors just like in a pub…!! I was pretty surprised and laughed at it..
What an idea..!!
Dissatisfied meeting
Uday, Srinivas & Bharath (Captured at 2130 hrs @ Chillies on 7th Aug'11)
Well.. I met a couple of good friends Uday & Srinivas and had dinner with them. I was very much excited to catch up with them but after that I was really disappointed with the way our conversation went on. We were speaking about job satisfaction, career plans, appraisals, project mates, managers, work culture, salary hikes, job change.. GOSHHH.. what not???
Sorry uday & srinivas, don’t take it in another way. The reason is that we couldn’t be what we were during our last 6 months of our engineering. We were not the same bunch which is used to crack silly jokes, make fun of each other, share each other lunch boxes, travel at the back of share auto from college to hayathnagar for 45 mins at 12.30 noon in scorching sun with hankies on our heads to escape the heat but still retaining the smiles on our faces.. and most importantly students..!
If this is what the conversation would be from now on for every get-together then I am least bothered about meeting old friends speaking about responsibilities in life rather than fun filled gossiping.
No offence meant to anyone..
But glad to meet u guys… Thanks and Wish u good luck..!
This is OUR LIFE
No one.. not a single human I know is happy and satisfied completely. One always craves for something in spite of knowing that he cant get it. Maybe we are fools.
We are all in pursuit of happiness. Some things may make us feel that we are happy and content.. The conclusive point is we are not really happy.. We pretend to be happy with a false smile on our faces..
Nothing much to say..!
Life really sucks at some point..!!
My Life is running

No, I must say I am forced to run.. I am not even finding time to stop and quench my thirst. I get up at 5.30 AM but still I am late by 5 mins to the stop.. Obviously missing the bus… I try to catch the bus at Nagole but the driver is Ekalavya to Michael Schumacher.. so I have to continue my chase till Uppal and board another bus. The other day I was surprised to see my bus still at Nagole (generally it would have neared Uppal when I reach Nagole). As usual my bus mates stopped the bus for me.. Mr.Ekalavya gave me a smile as soon as he saw me.. This is my morning routine.
On reaching office I am given a lot of instructions to do this and do that.. first complete this..blah blah.. (Grow up boss..!).. When the clock is nearing 5 PM, anarchy prevails on our team.. by 5.30 PM some how everything comes into place and the day’s work is closed(well we close It forcibly).. I start running for the bus at 5.44 PM to catch my bus which leaves at 5.45 PM.. Very rarely I catch the bus by walking normally.. and these days I am staying back for some patch up work. And reach home by 9.30 or 10 PM
And weekends.. well don’t ask me…!! I don’t know how a weekend vanishes in thin air.. in a jiffy.. pufffffffff.. I don’t have enough time to take a deep breath for myself..
In this so called busy life I am ignoring myself..(thats ok… I am really happy that days are ending quickly) and my friends, my family too(My sincere APOLOGIES.. but I cant help it).. I got some people around me who are really worried about me with the way my life is going on (surprising..! people think about me..!! ha ha.. bad choice of your thought process).. GUYS.. Thanks for all the love and care.. don’t strangle my neck with your kindness and attachment.. I am unable to bare it.. Let me go wherever my life takes me with it..
Now my life is not in my hands, I am in my life’s hands. I am loving it..!!
Rocking January 2011..!
A very good start to my 2011.. I was waiting for January to come due to the fact that it is coming along with my close friends. I must say I had a wonderful time with all of them..
The most memorable moments are:
Nagavalli movie: The movie was utter crap and nonsense but enjoyed those 3 hrs like anything because of Swaroop, Nikhil and Co.
New Year Bash: Its impossible to forget this. At that moment I was so irritated and felt I should not ever do such a thing again but now when I recollect all the things then its worth experiencing. Thanks to my buddy chetan, mahendra and Karthik for making it an unforgettable experience. I will never ever get it again(hope so..! :P). I miss you all..!
Bengaluru & Chennai trip: This was the best part. Never thought that this small trip would turn around into a busiest trip. Thanks to RS, praneeth, and his friends there. I met my training friends in Chennai campus. It was really nice meeting you all in person. This would be my most cherished trip.
Thank you all for giving me one month of fresh air which is good enough for me to carry on with all these sweet memories..!
I miss you all badly..
Looking forward to meet you all again..!
